About this First Aid for Mental Health course
This mental health first aid course from Make a Difference has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace.
It provides a toolkit that can be applied across a wide variety of groups and social settings.
This day-long course introduces a First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan. It provides learners with comprehensive knowledge help to identify a range of symptoms associated with the most common mental health conditions, and the skills to respond with guidance and support. It also covers the effects of drugs and alcohol on people’s mental wellbeing.
Mental Health first-aiders will also learn how to signpost people to professional help, and about supporting people who are receiving professional mental health care.
